Mobile Phone Policy – For Children Attending Holiday Activities, Pony Club and Pony Loan.

At Liscombe Park EC, the safety, wellbeing, and privacy of all children and young people attending our pony club, riding lessons, and holiday activities are our highest priorities. This policy outlines our expectations regarding mobile phone use to maintain a safe and respectful environment.

1. Mobile Phones Must Be Left in Bags

  • Children are required to leave their mobile phones securely in their bags upon arrival.
  • Phones must not be carried on the person or brought onto the yard, into the arena, stables, or any activity areas.

2. No Use of Phones on the Yard

  • It is not safe to ride or handle horses while using a phone. Phones are a distraction, and horses can be unpredictable.
  • Children must be fully aware of their surroundings to stay safe; therefore, the use of mobile phones during lessons or yard time is strictly prohibited.

3. No Photos or Videos Permitted

  • Children must not take photos or videos of other children, staff, or activities while on site.
  • This is to respect the privacy of others and ensure safeguarding standards are upheld.

4. Phones Are Left at Owner’s Risk

  • Liscombe Park E.C. cannot take responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged devices.
  • Phones are brought to the premises at the child’s and family's own risk.

5. Emergency Contact Procedures

  • In case of emergency, our staff will use the contact information provided at registration to contact parents or guardians immediately.
  • Children do not need their phones for communication while attending riding school sessions.

6. Social Media and Online Content

  • We kindly ask parents and guardians to check their child’s social media accounts regularly.
  • Please ensure any photos or videos that include other children, adults, or staff members are removed. Sharing images without consent may breach privacy and safeguarding policies.

Parental Support

We appreciate your support in reinforcing this policy with your child. By working together, we can create a safer, more focused environment for all children and ponies alike.
