No membership required.
RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
*The size of all classes will be restricted. Numbers may be decided on the day due to weather and ground conditions. Entries may close at the organiser’s discretion.
*If you wish to withdraw after your entry has been processed, a £5 charge will apply for return of half the fees paid. A veterinary certificate may be required, however, substitutions are allowed at no extra cost.
*The Judge’s decision is final.
*Any complaints should be forwarded with a £50 payment to the steward’s office. 50% of the fee to be refunded if the complaint is upheld.
*All competitors must wear correct footwear, and riding hats with the British Standards Kite mark PAS 015, BSEN 1384 whenever mounted.
*Body protectors are recommended for all show jumping classes, and are compulsory for all cross country classes.
*Horses ridden on the show ground must be 4 years and over.
*Dogs must be kept on leads and under control at all times.
*Warming up is allowed in designated areas only.
*No cantering or galloping is allowed on the showground, except in designated areas.
*All riders, handlers, owners and agents must take care to ensure the safety of themselves and others around them at all times. Known kickers to wear red ribbons please.
*It is recommended that all horses, riders and handlers have adequate insurance.
*Any person found not abiding by the rules, or being abusive towards people or animals will be escorted from the showground.
*The landowners, organisers and agents of this show will not be held responsible for any injury, death or damage or loss of anything brought on to the showground.
*By entering the classes in this schedule you are
a) responsible for ensuring that the horse and rider are capable of taking part
b) agreeing to abide by the rules and conditions of entry above.
Please note that we are not charging you for First Aid cover at any of our shows this year.
Several qualified First Aiders will be present at every event to assist you should it be necessary, and an ambulance will be called if required.
We would like to remind all competitors that riding is a dangerous sport, and that you are participating in these events at your own risk.
Please remember to lock valuable items away in your vehicle, and do not leave your horse unattended. Please remove horse droppings from the car park.
You are advised to contact the organisers on 01296 682991 to check on the ground conditions and status of each show, i.e. going ahead, etc.
SHOWJUMPING AND GYMKHANA CHAMPIONSHIPS
Liscombe Park Equestrian Centre is pleased to continue the Show Jumping and Gymkhana Championships at its Family Shows in 2012, and now also has
DRESSAGE ON GRASS CHAMPIONSHIPS!!
Show Jumping Championships
There will be Show Jumping Championships in the following classes:
*Peter Pan * Beginners *Mini Pre-Novice *Mini Novice
* Pre Novice * Novice *Intermediate *Open
Qualifiers for the above classes will be held at all Family Shows
Competitors will qualify for the Championships if they are placed 1st-6th in any of the above classes, at any of the 2012 shows.
If competitors have already been placed in a class, they can still compete and be placed in further shows, but their subsequent Championship Qualification will be moved down to other competitors, as far as 12th place.
The last chance to qualify for the Championships will be at the Championship Show, when separate qualifying classes will precede the Championship classes, (separate schedule available soon!).
There will be a Champion and Reserve Champion in each of the above classes. The Champion will receive a rosette, sash, and a trophy which will be held for ONE year. The Reserve Champion will receive a rosette and sash.
Gymkhana Championships
Competitors will gain points in all gymkhana races,if they are placed 1st-6th.
Points will be awarded as follows:
1st = 6 points 2nd =5 points 3rd =4 points
4th = 3 points 5th =2 points 6th =1 point
· Double points will be awarded at the Championship show.
· There will be a Champion and Reserve Champion at all Gymkhana shows.
· Competitors points from all shows will be added together and an over-all Champion and Reserve Champion 2012 will be announced at the Championship show.
· The over-all Champion of 2012 will receive a rosette, a sash and a trophy which will be held for one year. The over-all Reserve Champion for 2012 will receive a rosette, sash, and a trophy which will be held for one year. The Reserve Champion will receive a rosette and sash.
DRESSAGE ON GRASS CHAMPIONSHIP
Class 9 will be run in two sections:a) Restricted to horse/rider combinations never to have been placed 1st or 2nd in an Introductory test, or above, and b) Open. Please state which section you are entering on the entry form.
Class 10 is restricted to horse/rider combinations never to have been placed 1st or 2nd in a Preliminary test, or above.
Class 11 is Open.
Please be honest when entering the above classes.
Points will be accumulated over the course of the Family Show Series 2012, and the competitor with the most points in each class will receive a Champion rosette, sash, and a trophy which will be held for ONE year. The competitor with the second highest number of points will receive a Reserve Champion rosette and sash.
Points, (and rosettes), will be awarded to competitors placed 1st to 6th, as follows:
1st=6pts, 2nd=5pts, 3rd=4pts, 4th=3pts, 5th=2pts, 6th=1pt.
Double points will be awarded at the Championship Show on 29th September, and the prizes will also be presented at this time.

All Show Jumping classes: PreEntry £8, Entry on the Day £10
Rosettes to 6th place.
All classes in Ring 1 and 2 are LPEC Championship Qualifier classes.
Clear Round. There will be 30 minutes of Clear Round jumping before all classes in Rings 1 & 2. Rosettes to all Clear Rounds. £4 per round.

Class 1. Pre-Novice 2’ 0”– 2’3”
Class 2. Novice 2’3” – 2’6”
Class 3. Intermediate 2’6” – 2’9”
Class 4. Open 2’9” – 3’0”
Classes 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Ring 1 are Championship Qualifier Classes. Competitors entering classes 2, 3 & 4 in Ring 1, may not enter any classes in Ring 2.

All Dressage classes are PRE-ENTRY ONLY, £11.00
